The 7stanes is a series of award winning mountain bike centres in the south of Scotland offering unique qualities and providing individual mountain biking experiences. The 7 sites are located at Glentrool and Kirroughtree in Galloway Forest Park (the largest forest park in the UK), Ae, Mabie and Dalbeattie in the Dumfries area and Newcastleton and Glentress/Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders.

The 7stanes has something for all.  With 400km of trails the stanes can cater for families who wish to cycle off road and benefit from doing something together in the fresh air, to mountain bikers who wish to have the opportunity to test their skills, through to the more extreme trails that provide an adrenaline rush for those who dare!

7stanes Mountain Biking Community Interest Company

The 7stanes Mountain Biking Community Interest Company (CIC) was formed in October 2010.   It is a not for profit organisation, meaning that any monies raised goes straight back into making the CIC activities of marketing and promotion sustainable.  All activities are for the benefit of mountain bikers and include the maintenance of the website, provision of trail maps, circulating updates on trails, competitions, newsletters, merchandise, visitor payback schemes and connectivity with businesses at a national and local level.

The CIC employs 2 members of staff who report to the 7stanes CIC Board, which is made up of 12 public and private sector representatives.
